Hey PL--thanks for the post. I think you know this already, but you ROCK! That was some serious playing, and much appreciation your way.

Sorry to hear about the relationship issues. It seems like all humans (regardless of sex or age) stumble through this stuff and do the best they can at whatever moment they're at in their development. A lot of adults really don't know how to deal kindly with each others' hearts. So much behavior in relationships is unconscious reactive kid-stuff; I don't think anybody really teaches us how to handle this part of our lives. Been shat upon, been the (unintentional) shitter before...it sucks. Only thing I can say is hang in there & keep working.

Your talent and strength at drumming is so obvious, an enviable anchor for a topsy-turvy world. Best wishes & peace==spaceotter

GAMG- yeah man, used to fret about things of that nature... i like to think once i am ready for that type of thing, it will be there. Now, i have things to work on and i see that as the lighter side... the fact that i can improve myself before wishing that complimentary aspect (i.e. woman) into my life. Getting to the point to where a girl could be a nice complimentary part to it, rather than a crutch to support it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">SpaceO- Damn, perfect way of putting it. Music has been my anchor so often, it is nice that see it put to words here. Anchors are a huge thing and seeing something like that happen to friends of mine who aren't lucky enough to have anything else to turn to, it isn't a good thing to see happen to anyone. When you can put your passion into something and have something to show for it, show for yourself (if you will)... it is something to keep you afloat. It is different than just having your school or your job, or even friends. When you have something that is your's, and you have put countless hours into it, it gives you a place that you have made your own long before circumstances did arise... it creates a place that you can always go to.

I've had a girlfriend for almost 4 years (im 17 now) and i mean when we first started going out, i didn't play drums yet, so i only started after the initial buzz wore off so i don't feel that she affects my drumming too much! She actually is cool and comes to see me play n stuff!

I have to say, wait until you guys have the chance at getting a copy of this DVD when Louie makes it available......
I won't spoil too much about it, but he does rendition of a tune by another known drummer and IMO, I think Louie's pocket, and overall performance is just killer. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Louie! What can i say man, that was some sick stuff, anyone that has the self-discpline to practice to get that good is an inspiration for me! Anyone who is dedicated to any craft be it drumming or whatever is in fact inspirational so thanks for that!!! Good luck with your musical ventures, even though it looks like you don't need it ;P
